Hey,
thanks to Tom he mentioned a working howto for installing the touch driver on Ubuntu 10.10.
http://lii-enac.fr/en/architecture/linux-input/multitouch-ubuntu-howto.html
I tried this guide after doing
1 2 3 | apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade |
and rebooting and touch works fine. I also tried the gesturetest application from the utouch framework
like described here https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Multitouch/Testing/UsingGesturetest and get nice looking Output.
But I don’t know, who I could use any multi touch/dual touch gesture with my Acer. Which applications supports it? Who has a hint?
OHH! So thats what you meant! BTW, I’m drnessie – ginn is your best bet. It comes with multitouch support for firefox and Inkscape and a few more apps – I added support for chrome by editing etc/wishes.xml. Have fun!
